Work has been going very well for the School of Fine Art, History of Art and Cultural Studies’ relocation to a fully refurbished ‘geography’ building at the heart of campus next summer.

Providing an update, Mark Dodgson (Project Manager at building contactor Sewell’s) said: “Progress has been good again this week as we try to complete floor by floor the removal of all redundant services / ducting, etc. We should be in a position at some point next week to commence with the demolition of some of the internal walls, and works are progressing nicely in relation to the demolition of the Animal Annexe.”

The strip out of the main building is on course to finish soon, and over the coming weeks Sewell’s will commence with the internal demolition of the partitions.
