Sense of Line: Drawings by Imtiaz Dharker ― selected by A-N Magazine as one of the top exhibitions of the week nationally ― will have a curator-led tour on Saturday 29 July at 2 pm.
Sense of Line is an exhibition of drawings by artist, poet and documentary film-maker Imtiaz Dharker. This one-person show of drawings, often incorporating poems, excavates contested physical and mental landscapes through explorations of feminism, terrorism, tyranny and oppression.
Dr Nima Poovaya-Smith (Senior Visiting Research Fellow in the School of Fine Art, History of Art and Cultural Studies), along with some of the five MA students who were co-producers of the show, will talk about award-winning poet and artist Imtiaz Dharker’s work and how word and image are intimately linked in her practice.
The tour is expected to last for an hour, followed by light refreshments.
Free event; booking essential. Please book here via Eventbrite.
