The School offers a wide range of Joint Honours programmes with History of Art or Cultural Studies. Many combinations include modern European languages such as French, German, Italian, Russian, Portuguese and Spanish or you may choose from English, History, Japanese, Philosophy, Russian Civilisation, Thai Studies, and Theology & Religious Studies.
The History of Art component of your Joint Honours degree will encourage you to consider how art has been produced and received by different human cultures at different times, from ancient Greece to contemporary Africa, from country houses to mediaeval manuscripts, conceptual art and beyond.
The Cultural Studies component of your Joint Honours degree provides an opportunity to study contemporary cultural practices from a theoretical vantage point. Your module choices will allow you to plot your own pathway through film, music, digital and popular culture.
